Problem with gravity drawn hot water system!

by keadyboy » Mon Dec 17, 2007 10:21 pm

Hi, I have an oil fired central heating system which seems to be connected with a gravity drawn hot water system?

Problem is i had a plumber come around and shift a few pipes for me, job done, all radiators working except for one which seems to be fed by the gravity drawn system, the hot tank is now the cold tank also!

How do i get the gravity drawn system to start doing what it should?

The outlet pipe coming from the hot tank seems to then feed the radiator which aint working.

This is an airlock and could potentialy be awkward to shift. Make sure it's bled properly at the highest point, maybe you have to crack a joint and allow water to flow into a bowl to push the air out
