Protection of underground drainage pipe leading to a soakaway

by Gates1664 » Fri May 07, 2021 10:02 am

Hoping someone can help.

Building control have said I need to protect my drainage pipe that leads into a soakaway, even though it's just in that back lawned garden.

Any ideas what I use to protect it please? Whether I need a bed of concrete or whether stones will do?

Any advice would be appreciated?

Hi gates1664
That’s a new one on me unless you have used flexible drain pipe near the surface. Possibly the easiest solution would be to get some old guttering from a scrap yard and lay this on top of the drain pipe. Check this would be acceptable to BC.
