Radiator valves

by Freddy12 » Mon Apr 04, 2011 4:21 pm

Hi
Are lockshield valves and wheelhead valves constructed differently or are they the same but with a different platic cover?

Thanks

The same but with different covers.

The lockshield valve is for balancing the system, then cannot be accidentally closed/opened

Thanks

As a follow-up, does it matter which valve is connected to the flow from the boiler?

You need to check manufacturers instructions for the valves you buy - the majority are Bi-Directional.
