raising concrete floor 130mm

by ben22 » Mon Jun 02, 2008 8:41 pm

the previous owners of our house half converted the gargae into a room. We are now going to make it a kitchen and would like to raise the concrete floor by 130mm so it matches the level of the rest of the house. i was thinking of using pre mixed concrete as the area will require 1.5 cybic meters. has anyone any suggestions?

cheers

I suppose you could fill it with concrete which is probably going to cost between 150 and 200 for 1.5m3.

You musn't bridge the DPC.

How do you deal with your services?

Personally I think I'd put in a timber floor even though it's only 13cm.

Cheers
