Reattaching Skirting Board After Replastering

Post by Liz87 » Sun Feb 10, 2019 2:45 pm

Hi,

We've recently had our hallway replastered and on one of the walls they removed the skirting board beforehand because it was already coming away from the wall.

The board still seems fine so our plan is to clean it up and reattach it now that the plaster is dry.

What would be the best way to do this?

Also there is a gap between the bottom of the plaster and the floor. Should we leave this or do we need to fill it in before attaching the skirting board? I've attached a photo for illustration.

Thanks!
