Would be grateful for any advice.
Bought a house to renovate. It’s going well but we pulled up 6 layers of Lino in the kitchen to find an original York stone floor. My partner who is in the trade wanted to pull it up and sell it but I liked it. However, no scrubbing, brick acid in inconspicuous area, alkaline cleaner, specialist York stone cleaner or anything else has improved the look or durability of it.
Shall I cut my losses and sell the stone and go for something more modern? The primary concern is not losing money on the house.
Thank you for any expertise.
