Removing entire original external wall

by Hbrax » Wed Nov 04, 2020 8:05 pm

Hi, we are thinking of removing an entire original external wall (now internal) to open up onto an existing side extension. The wall is the entire left side of the house from front to back so is supporting the upstairs. Can this original external wall me removed completely and replaced with an rsj? And how much would this kind of thing cost? Wall to remove Circled in orange on picture, to create the two rooms in green.

Hi heras
Yes walls can be removed but pillars will be needed at either end and at the room junction. It’s not possible to give a cost because loading and location is not known.
Regards S
