Rendering below damp proof course with gaps and cracks?

by RobScot89 » Thu Jul 09, 2020 9:36 pm

Hi, I’ve recently bought a house (1970s build) and there are a number of gaps/cracked rendering around the bottom of the external walls.

Any advice and what is needed to patch these gaps?

It looks like it’s the brickwork below the DPC has been rendered an then painted over but I’m not sure.

I’ve attached some images...

Hi robscot89
Suggest you try some rapid setting mortar but do not mix too much and build up in layers.
