Rendering Blown

Post by marktowl » Sat Jun 16, 2007 11:32 pm

I have a small patch of rendering that appears to have blown. I can see a small hairline crack approx 10inches long and the render appears to bubble in this area.
Can this be repaired without re-rendering the whole wall? It is the only rendered wall on the house and to get access I have to use neighbours garden therefore keen to find easiest solution

Use a hamer and biolster chisel to remove the loose sections of render Mark, it wioll become obvious as you cut away how much is affected. See our project on mortar mixes to get a mix to repair.
