Repair wood window section

Post by TimM » Sat Jan 06, 2024 11:15 am

Hi, my first post on here!

I have a couple of wooden window frames which need to be repaired. The bit in question is the corner of the opening window at the bottom. I was thinking of cutting out and refitting with hardwood, paint and preserve. I am on the right lines with this?

Many thanks for any advice.

Tim.

Hi timm,
Depends on the extent of the rot, if it’s in most of the corner joints you may as well replace the whole lower section.
