Hey guys,

A contractor has accidentally drilled a deep hole of roughly 15 - 17 inches deep into my bedroom wall. The hole is around 1/4 of an inch wide. The wall is Brick / Mortar based. Can you provide any advice on the best way to fill this and whether there could be any potential problems which may arise in the future? The hole is quite close to the exterior of the house. All input would be greatly welcomed.

Try using expanding foam in the hole.
Once set you can cut back the excess foam and polyfill.

This hole is of no importance.
I expect it is horizontal?
Just screw up a paper hankie and push it in the end.
If on the other hand, it does go through to the outside, or to the space in a cavity wall, there could be a howling gale blowing through it at times.
You will be surprised how much cold wind can blow through such a small hole.
In which event block it with Pollyfiller.
