Replace Extractor with Dehumidifier for Clearing Moisture from Bathroom

by carbar » Thu Dec 17, 2015 10:17 am

Hello.

A year or so ago, I fitted a heat-exchange extractor fan in loft, ducted to my bathroom, with the intake over the shower and the output in the opposite corner. It runs constantly at its highest speed, but it doesn't seem to be up to the job, as after a shower the bathroom takes ages to clear and the rest of the house gets damp.

I was wondering if I would be better to replace the unit with a ducted dehumifier, or if there was a better solution (other than opening the window).

Thanks,

Carl

A wall mounted warm air blower is really the only way to keep moisture from forming in a bathroom .The old ways are the best.
