Replacing Lead Pipe and now Want to Replace Mains Valve

by Thomas_P » Mon Sep 30, 2019 5:27 pm

Hi,

I have just replaced the old lead pipe underground with 32mm MDPE (used 32mm as it's going to split off to 2 25mm pipes).

I now want to replace the mains valve (i.e. stop tap at the boundary) before connecting it back up, as I have noticed that it is broken.

The main supply pipe (outside the boundary) appears to be lead (1" external diameter - 1/2" internal diameter).

I have found a few transition fittings, but can't seem to find anything that is exactly right for my requirements. Can anybody point me in the direction of a mains valve for 1" lead to 32mm MDPE please?...or perhaps a combination of fittings to ultimately connect the two together?

Thanks.
