Replacing shower but now pull cord switch not working?

by scottandcath » Fri May 14, 2021 8:14 am

Hi,
I've recently replaced a shower (like for like so everything was the same). There is an isolation pull cord in the bathroom and the shower has its own trip switch. I've connected everything up and flicked the trip switch back to normal but the isolation pull cord (which has a neon light to show its got power) isn't coming on after I pull it back to on so the shower will not work.

Any ideas? I'm very new to this.

Have you got a voltage stick to check if there is power at the isolator?
The options for no power are:
RCD has tripped.
Lose connections, normally at the isolator. Dont try checking with power on. Turn power off.
Isolator has failed.
You should get an electrician to check the circuit.
