Hi everyone,
I am attempting to replace the shower fittings (knobs, shower head, hose, rails).
The shower is a twin thermostatic valve setup (on/off and temperature) with a single outlet.
Q1: Is it common to replace the 'fittings' without changing the valve itself?
From the pictures attached you'll see I have removed the front panel and knobs. However, what I am left with doesn't look like other systems I've seen online. I was expecting the chrome rings to be screw on (they were just push on/off) and they don't fit over the white and grey bits.
Q2: so can and how are they removed? and will most new fittings work?
Q3: I was also expecting to find an on/off screw to turn the water off. Couldn't locate it on this one.
Q4: a slight aside, but I was also expecting fewer pipes. This one seems to have four (three on the left (hot, cold and ?), and one on the right - to the hose).
Many thanks in advance,
James
