I have a warm roof newly constructed on a single story brick outbuilding.
I plan to use this as a music room.
The EPDM roof has 18mm OSB followed by 100mm insulating slab, then some more OSB, then 100mm airgap to what would then be 2x 12.5mm plasterboard.
Would resilient bar or iso clips do much more to stop sound transmission upwards and out of the roof. With it being single story and noone tapdancing on the roof i dont need to worry about vibration transition from above to below.
