Robus RRF10-01 Room Thermostat. Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

Hi folks,
I could do with an answer soonest as it's not getting any warmer I bought a Robus RRF10 Room thermostat for a central heating system as the old stat was but. I thought it would just be a case of swapping the wires but obviously not.

I have blown several fuses and the way it is wired at the moment see pic, it works in reverse so when you turn the heating down it comes on. The on off swtich does not work and the LED does not light ::

The picture links failed and all I can find is:-

230/240V Thermostat [White]

For heating or cooling control applications
Up to 10A switching capacity
Normally Open (NO) & Normally Closed (NC) contacts
Temperature range 10° C to 30° C
Injection moulded ABS
Includes On/ Off switch

So all I can do is give general information. Where no battery is used likely you will have the following connections.

Com = Normally line wire connects to this.
N/O = Central heating wire connects to this.
N/C = For AC normally not used.
Neutral = Often not used is needed to reduce the difference between on and off temperatures and work any indicator lamp.

Where simple bi-metal strips are not used but instead it has some electronics then the neutral is required the only option if there is no neutral is to use one that has batteries for the electronics these last around 2 years a set so no real problem.
