Is there a way to estimate the size of a roof without pysically climbing up and measuring it.....need this general information for my new job as solar power advisor

You can measure it with its area on based in your walls and its span from it. Using a formula on measuring triangles you can measure the roof by sides. Or just like the height of the roof and the area in the ground plus the span that is commonly a meter.
