Roof Truss Measurments

by MR GRUMPY » Sun Mar 30, 2008 8:11 am

I have built a shed out of concrete blocks and am now at the roof stage. The roof trusses are ready to be fitted to the wall plates but how do i mark them out for positioning? what distance from the gable end is the first one placed. The lenght of the shed is approx 4m and the firm supplied 10 trussess. Can you shed any light please.

MR GRUMPY,

LEAVING AN AIR GAP OF 1" AT THE GABLE WALLS WILL GIVE BY MY CALCULATIONS 10-TRUSSES AT 16" CENTRES (STANDARD).

MUST BE AN AGE THING!!!
