Hi, I am renovating my kitchen and my wife wants the rough undulating country look on the walls and ceilings, the walls were already dry lined when we bought the house and I have just re newed the ceiling boards, what covering can I use on the plasterboard to generate the look of undulatng render?, will sand and cement be to heavy?,will I have to pirme the boards prior to plastering them?, any ideas and technques would be very welcomed.
Thanks

Hi, try adding silica or plastering sand to mix it's trial and error so do sample boards first. A wooden float might help with the rustic look.
Plasterbords in general don't need pva as pva is used as a sealant for dry walls that have heavy suction and take moisture from mix.
