So... I've got a window that is stuck shut. Apologies if I get some of the terminology wrong, but any help much appreciated.

Photo attached shows a similar (working) window with the same type of mechanism.

One side of the window unlocks fine. The other side feels like the bolt (in the window) is stuck in it's 'locked' position in the window frame. I can't loop anything round the bolt because it fits so snugly into it's locator in the frame.

Any suggestions very welcome.
