Sealing up a Bath to Prevent Leak

by gordo1952 » Fri Jan 26, 2018 6:27 pm

Hi been in my house about 4 years , previous people had installed a new bath and tiled. Using that plastic half oval around down the ends and side. This is now letting water through have tried to clean and re seal. but only lasted a short while. Plus it is constantly turn black.

Is there a way of cutting that plastic off without hacking tiles off, as would not be able to replace them now. I was thinking of trying a dremel with small discs to get the plastic off and then clean as much as possible off and re seal using a good tape and low modulus sealant or adding a better quality plastic moulding

any thoughts or ideas appreciated.
