Re: Anchoring decking subframe on flat balcony with waterproofing layer

Hi mech_man, No need to secure the joists, lay them out and fix decking boards to them, start with one each end of the joists. Regards S Hello Stoneyboy, Thanks for your reply. I was thinking of using some constructive glue as well but someone else also suggested just fixing the boards to the subfr...

How to repair rotted wooden door frame to fit new doors

Hi, I am in the process of replacing some internal doors and need some tips/advice as to how I can repair the existing door frames. Re: Fitting full length end panel to kitchen units where there's a worktop overhang

Hi mech_man Use decor panels on the end of the base and wall units to match the decor panel on the side of your larder unit. You have a problem in that the floor units are not square with the worktop. If you try to trim the worktop you will cut off a tapered strip which will make joining awkward. R...

You’re probably better fitting a carcass side panel to both the floor and wall units to overcome this problem.
Regards S

Hi,

But I need to fit a full length side panel so that the finished unit would look something like this.

Fitting full length end panel to kitchen units where there's a worktop overhang

Hello, I am looking to fit a full length end-panel to my existing kitchen units in order to add a pantry/larder unit. The existing laminated worktop and the upstand overhang the base unit by around 10mm (see photos) which would prevent the end-panel to sit flush against the side of the base and wall...

You can either cut your slabs around them or replace them with block paving covers so you can lay your slabs in them.
Regards S

What should do about pouring the sub-base material around them? coz the plastic tubes would be exposed once the turn is removed.

Laying paving slabs around Inspection Holes in garden

Hi there,

I am planning to extend my patio paving but there are 2 inspection holes (as shown in the photo) near the fence line so I am wondering how to lay the slabs around these?

I would appreciate it if anyone could suggest any solutions please
