Thoughts on this foundation

Hi All, I am having damp issues on my back wall and water ingress on my party wall, after trying remedial things on my side, it continues. I now think the cause of this may be the foundation to my neighbours extension/conservatory. m Somebody else saw this and said that foundation is nowhere near de...

Re: Thoughts and Ideas on Patio

Questions regarding the reinstatement of the patio; Just to belt and braces for any future lower level water ingress, my thoughts are while it is all exposed get my wall re-pointed all the way down where it will be under the ground level, and put some sort of membrane against the wall? Necessary, OT...

Hi All, I have had major damp problems at my house which have been a combination of problems, one of which was the high level of the patio. I have taken the Indian Stone Flags up and excavated 16 tons of earth, pictures show before and after. Yet still despite the ground level outside now being lowe...

Re: Excessive Air Getting in behind Kitchen Cupboards - Much Dust!

Hi All, So after having a specialist out to inspect, Dry Rot confirmed. Re: Excessive Air Getting in behind Kitchen Cupboards - Much Dust!

After a bit more consideration of my problem, and a bit of further digging online it's looking all the more like I've got an absolute Textbook case of Dry Rot going on! My only recourse at this time is to get onto my Home Insurance.
Woe is me! I've got my little Violin out.

Re: Excessive Air Getting in behind Kitchen Cupboards - Much Dust!

Thanks for the reply.
About 2 and a half years ago internally a vent was blocked in the living room which has an air brick behind it.
This is of course the front wall of the house.

Excessive Air Getting in behind Kitchen Cupboards - Much Dust!

My house seems to have developed a problem with Excessive Dust in my Kitchen, it's a dirty red orange dust so it would appear to be brick dust. It seems to be coming in through my cupboards on the ground floor as the contents of these cupboards are getting absolutely covered in dust every few days, ...
