Hi,

Yes. It is about 5 cm. So I I do fit a draught strip would the hinges fit on top of that? If not, can I chisel the edge away and fit the hinge flush? I am worried that will affect the size of the door opening.. thanks!

Rebate in Wickes standard hardwood door frame

Hi, I have bought a standard hardwood exterior door frame from Wickes. When trying to fit the hinges, I realized the frame has a rebate all along the inside of the frame. It is 2.5mm deep and about 5cm wide, but it doesn't run to the edge of the frame, leaving a ledge that interferes with the hinge....
