tiling

i have had my walls skimmed, and i am going to put tiles on the wall.
do i need to prep the walls first before putting my tiles on??
if so is paint that is made for fresh plaster good enough??

i have a problem with damp in my internal hall wall. it has had a damp course put in over 14 years ago ( injection ). it was injected one brick above the floorboards. i have taken the old plaster of up to about one meter high. i intend to inject using dryzone, i would like to know if i should inject...

rebuild chimney stack

i need to take down my cimney stack and rebuild it.
rebuilding it is not a problem, i would like to know what
the mix is for rendering the flues and do i need building reg/planning permission?
