Thank you for the reply. The cartridge doesn’t screw in itself, rather it’s inserted and held in place by three screws. This is the type https://www.mytoiletspares.co.uk/ideal- ... pares.html
Could there still be a fissure, how could I tell?

Being a DIY “newbie”, what sort of lubricant should I have used?

Leaking Ideal Standard Cartridge Tap

Hello I have an Ideal Standard cartridge mixer washbasin tap, it started leaking from around the neck, just below the lever. I replaced the cartridge with a like for like replacement, as this was the advised solution, but the leaking persists. Any advise on what else I could try? Thanks in advance.
