Radiator will not drain before removal

I want to remove radiator for decorating. I've switched off both valves and undone the nut on right side but apart from a few drips, no water is draining. The nut only turns a few times before getting stuck, so I don't see how I will loosen it completely to remove radiator, once drained. I've loosen...

Lockshield valve does not have spindle.

I want to remove radiator to paint behind. Lock shield valve is a screw-in type, not spindle (see photo) . Which bit do I adjust to turn off the valve?
