Yep....try moving the lever manually to see if it makes any difference..don't forget could be programmer has stopped sending correct instructions.

if rad valves hold then no more water will get in....but is an if..
heating can be used....DIY stores stock what you need but can be a bit iffy to rely on long term....due to pressure and expansion

to be frank, fat chance if its been in that long.....better off to change tank (which will comply with current insulation standards) and then put in new immersion. The only other thing that may work is a bit risky....so take precautions.....drain cylinder.....remove insulation or anything flammable ...

as per previous, bleed them but make sure that they are all balanced correctly. If unbalanced water will just take the path of least resisitance. There should be 2 different valves on them, one is open/close , the other does the balancing. Make sure all open/close are fully open and set all balancin...

Check the fit between the actual tap head and the tap body. Leave off the cover over the screw and turn the handle. if the screw stays in the same position, then splines (or whatever) are worn. Just changing tap heads may cure the problem or if screw does not hold head down hard enough a slightly lo...
