What i normally do is use skrim tape (as above said) down the join and then mix a little dry line adhesive and push it in to the gap over the skrim getting in as much as possible so there are no gaps. Let it go off for about 20-30 minutes then get a wet brush and brush off any excess leaving you wit...
what Aidan said about the pva is correct, but the uneven wall can be levelled by using bonding and then coating with multi finish in the normal way. a good plasterer will make short work of this.
I suppose so but it all depends on how uneven the wall is, i personally...

You can do an overskim by pva'ing the wall first. This will not make the wall even though, the only way to do that is knock off and re-plaster

If you are plastering i would use a plaster stop bead which is like a bead but only for one side, i'd fix with either nails or dryline adhesive depending what you are fixing to, then leave to set and plaster to that. If rendering or dashing you can get a similar stop bead but i prefer to use wood as...

Make sure that a dehumidifier hasn't been used in the house, it sucks all the moisture out of the plaster and it will crack off. When you say the damp was covered for many weeks what do you mean?

When you say you have "had all the walls and ceilings replastered" what do you mean? Is it a skim over the old plaster or have you removed the old plaser and floated and skimmed the walls, if its an overskim then you can get hairline cracks appearing and what they have told you about putti...

Installation of stone shower tray on concrete floor

Hi all

I'm fitting a new downstairs bathroom suite and the floor is concrete, i am wanting to know the best way of installing the shower tray onto this and obviously to bed it up to allow for waste underneath.

Any tips appreciated as i'll be doing this sometime over the weekend!
