HI,
i think i understand what i need to get done

a possibility may be to add another main fuse/box from the incoming supply to the original fuse box with all the mcbs with a extra 2 metres of 25mm cable

KA FAULT LEVEL STILL TO HIGH

HI, back again i have had another test done. in the general section the tester has writen CIRCUIT PROTECTION NOT APPROPRIATE FOR THE ACTUAL KA FAULT LEVEL AND IN A BOX ON THE PAPER WORK THERE IS IPF 6.60 KA iam told this is to high, is there a simple way of getting it down any help thanks

hi,
say the prospective fault current is to high
when i get someone in, and he blinds me with science,

can you tell me who he will get it down to below 6000 or 6ka
will he change as mcb or will i need a new board

Hi, i have found what you mean the number in the box is 6.60 ka which i believe is 6600 the reason iam concerned - he has put it down as a cat 1 which says on the paper work as requires urgent attention how can it this be changed ? is it down to the mcbs being to high on the heater i want to get the...

i have just had a look in the spur unit to see if i missed anything and it does look like it has had a bit of burning or melting,
i have desided iam going to get someone in to change it over

HI, in a room in my new home is a row of lights, and these are powered by some cable coming from a switch fuse spur, there is only 4 lights and each has a 40watt bulb,but the fuse keeps blowing in the spur, is there a way of working out which fuse is ok,iwas told i need the correct amp size, the cab...

each of the Neutral where on the rcd side

radial trips rcd, but not on rcd side

hi,
in my fuse box i have the main switch and a few mcb then a rcd and 2 more mcb,

a 20a mcb when turned on ( which is on the non- rcd side ) will trip the rcd,

can anybody tell me why and a fix as i cant see how it can trip the rcd when its not on the rcd side
