Problem solved

Excellent! Thanks very much for the advice Rico, that did the job! No noisy toilet now :)

I did as you suggested and replaced the whole ballvalve, only cost £5. It was a little awkard because of where it was but didn't have any major problems.

Toilet makeing foghorn like noises when flushed

Hi, Whenever I flush my toilet and it starts to fill up I get a foghorn like noise coming from it or the pipes until the cistern is full. If I turn the cold water tap on the noises stop but continue when I turn it off. I don't get this problem when the bath is emptied. Any idea what could be causing...
