replacing honeywell mid-position valve?

am i right in thinking that i only need to drain down the central heating to change the valve?also i have drain cocks on all four rads downstairs,do i need to drain all or just 1

this may be of no use,but i had the same problem after having central heating installed.it turned out to be an isolator valve just before the water entered the tank.i replaced the isolator and now the excessive noise has gone

you can get a plastic stop cock that covers all sizes,as it has a mutitude of sealing rings for all sizes.i fitted 1 and it is fine.i had a problem as the 22mm stop cock did not fit.i got it from a merchant in gillingham dorset

when i have removed the motorized valve how far should the spindle on the brass valve turn as it seems to only move about 1/8 of a turn
