wireing wall lights

hi im looking to put two wall lights up this week before i paper the wall as obviously i want to hide the wires.
i have a fairly good idea what to do but would like someone just to go over it.
i have a double socket close to the wall where i want to put the light.

I've been having problems with my telephone. At first it started being crackly then one day i came to it there was a tone there but it had a 'hollow' sound to it and wouldnt dail. At first i thought it could have something to do with the bad weather we've just had,but when i looked at the box my lit...
