Hi,

The ball is in your court.
Yes you can put a combi on old pipework but it will find any weak spots.
So its a suck it and see, I've done quite a few with no probs and some where there has been but they have been easily fixed.

Sounds like its over-pumping.
Find your pump, if it has speed settings - turn it down and observe any changes.

Hi, Its prolly expansion/contraction of the pipes as they warm/cool. Solution is to expose as much of the pipework as poss. Ensure it is adequatly clipped and not rubbing on anything. You can lag the pipes too - old carpet pieces or proper lagging - it will deaden the sound. Only other way is to cha...

I have a Myson warm air blower- it has a connection to the heating loop.
So a radiator of sorts. Therefore neither gas/leccy or oil
