Push Button Cisterns

Sorry for asking what to some will be a really stupid question!! I have a problem with my push button sticking and have found out how to fix it on this site, however, I can't figure out how to get the cistern lid off!!! AARRRRGGhhhhhh

Please help!

nice one mate, i'll give it a go! do i need to turn cold water supply of first to remove hot water spindle as it's a mixer tap?

Kitchen hot water tap won't stop!

I have a mixer tap in the kitchen and the hot water tap will not turn off. I have turned off stop cock at hot water tank and have taken tap off cold water side to see if I can notice any difference but I cannot see any. I am looking at a wee brass coloured 'cog' thing and wonder whether I unscrew th...
