You don't. The room thermostat will control the average temperature then you just alter individual TRV's to fine tune each area. This allows a lower temperature in a spare bedroom for example or [b]cut the heat input in the lounge when the gas fire is on etc. [/b] Not after he removed the valve head

For an acurate resistance reading you may have to zero the meter with the leads shorted together though most digi meters will auto zero

Did mine and left it as was for the old system which of course was wrong but worked perfectly the old system was a back boiler (gas ) but when I went the whole hog and fitted a condensing boiler to the open vent system I had to change the position and fitted a bypass valve

So when you retire after years of fitting or indeed just don't renew reg you are suddenly incompetent I think under those circumstances any law court would accept that you were competent which i all the law requires

Hot indirect cylinder vent

Is it really necessary for the vent pipe from the cylinder top to supply tank in attic to be completely vertical ?

I would like to route it about 8 inchs horizontally to the rear of the cupboard to provide clear space on shelves they do after all turn through 180 degrees to enter the cold tank

Some thermostatic valves are directional but most modern one are not so with new valves any way will do

Could be either of those most probably stuck pump there is a slotted head screw on most (may be under a cover ) to free it (with power off)

if electrical then you need some method of confirming yes or no to the supply at the pump terminals
