Radiator is the first in the system,

Boiler is external oil fired,water tank in loft

Thermostat setting is OK

There is a water pressure gauge fitted to boiler

Any ideas on how to progress

Leak in System

Hi All Hope someone can help, I continually have to bleed 1st radiator so suspect there is a leak somewhere. There are 13 rads downstairs all in concrete floor no signs of water leaks on ceilng from upstairs rads (under floorboards). How do I find and fix leak without digging up all down stairs floo...

Problem starting heating

Hi All

i have an oil fired firebird boiler,ignition light is on and when I press it relay clicks it seems like motor tries to turn but then goes off.

I have checked and bled oil system & checked oil level

Any advice

Oil Boiler Won't Fire

Hi All i have an old oil firebird boiler, the light is on the ignition button but when I hold this in and release the system makes a noise as if trying to start,the relay then drops out and nothing happens. Thanks for all comments In response No dishwasher or W/M is being used overnight Central heating boiler does heat hot water but this and pump are not switched on Cylinder & immersion are brand new so they should be correct sizes There are 2 immersion elements I have tried the "Bath" on...

Yes problem is that cylinder does not retain heat overnight.

Heating system has not been on when I have tried immersion,should this make a difference?

Also cylinder is brand new and insulated

Problem With Immersion

Hi All

Have just had new hot water cylinder and immersion fitted. If immersion is left on water is hot and works ok but when switched off and left overnight water is stone cold. There are no obvious leaks.Boiler for heating is oil fired.

Any help appreciated
