I am looking to feed my garage with electric from my house. The garage is about 8m from the house across a lane. I will need to go overhead with the cable. Could anyone tell me the correct size and type of timber that I should use to build the framework for a new ceiling upstairs in a terraced house. I plan to board on top of it for storage purposes.

could any one tell me how many 50W mains halogen spots I will need in a room 12 feet by 12 feet with a ceiling height of 10 feet ( my front room) and what spacing should I use to get the best effect from them.
