For best results it would be best to strip all the old paint off......However, if you give them a good rub down with a good quality glasspaper about 100 grit then use a good quality undercoat then Eggshell. That will do the job just fine!

Make sure its a GOOD rub down!

The product I would recommend would be Fiddes Exterior High Build Wood Oil.

Ive used this a few times before when customers have come to me with similar problems to yours and they have been very happy with the finish.

Hi Pete, After removing all the flaky paint and giving the windows a good rub down, you will need to prime all of the bare wood. I would recommend Dulux Oil based Wood Primer. Then after a fill up with polyfilla and another rub down, use 2 coats of undercoat and 1 coat of Gloss. For the U/C and Glos...
