Kitchen was replastered about 2 months ago. Part of it is perfect when painted with emulsion paint but in some areas there are swirls shining through and no matter how many thin coats of emulsion I apply it doesn't seem to cover the plaster. I have an existing open fire in a 1930's house. I want to install a new fire surround and insert, hearth etc. I cannot find a useful website to help. Pleae do not refer me to HETAS as I have done so and found it unhelpful. I want to buy a fire surround and hearth that is compatible with an open fire...
