I have been designing kitchens for 26 years and have always advised people never to fit any appliance under a hob gas or electric other than an oven or microwave. I have been asked several times about putting dishwashers washing machines and tumble dryers under hobs. I have always said no as this go...

The weight of the granite will keep the units in position. make sure you have five legs on each cupboard to tke the weight and dont overhang the worktop at the back of the cupboards more tha 300mm, this could over balance them and tip.

These are called L shaped corner units. Both doors are hinged normally 180 degree hinges, the piece of wood is the corner fillet and is fixed to one of the doors. Normally these corner units only have one handle or knob which is fitted to the door that you have not attached the fillet to.
