Plastering around termostatic mixer valve and diverter

My plumber has just fitted our thermostatic mixer valve and diverter. In order to do this he has had to chase out a section of the wall. Before i tile over it i assume i'm going to have to fill this hole. He has lagged the pipes with what looks like some sort of hessian matting. How should i go abou...

Its only got 1 inlet hose and its got a red end on it so i assume thats a hot feed...

I currently have a washing machine which is connected with both hot and cold water. I am about to fit a dishwasher too and this requires only a hot feed. So its ok to apply finishing plaster to a base coat that's not fully dried? I've finished the base coat but its starting to crack as its drying out. does that mean i've put it on too thick? The holes are still pretty deep as i didn't want to trowel the base coat in too thick...i was going to let bas...

Right, looked at saniflow and i'm not keen.

Anyone have any other suggestions of how i could get around this?

This must be a fairly common issue?

Just bought a new house, the bathroom has a boxed in soil pipe in the corner going up through the roof.
