Yes. Plus less wastage of hot water (22mm contains twice the volume of 15mm, so when hot water gets to the tap, you have displaced twice the amount of cold water to get it there, plus have a pipe full of double the amount of heated water in it which will go to waste as it cools down).

They sound hollow due to insufficient adhesive having being used and you have hollow patches. These are therefore likely to develop cracks since they are not fully supported. I'd get the installers back and tell them to get it sorted.

Think htg engineer is underquoting - £500 bit more like it if waste included. Tiling and fixing doors/panel would be extra, as would any electrical work.

I agree with stoneyboy here. I'd give the plaster a good week or so to dry out.

It will be worth your while to tank behind the wet areas of the wall (shower?) with a Bal shower system or equivalent.

More details about the system would be useful. However, guessing that you have a feed and expansion tank in the loft somewhere, check to see if this has water in it.

Yep - you san even use the plastic ones, providing the water doesn't get too hot - check the packing or search online for max working temperatures.
