continuing heating/hot water prob.

Hi all, me again, i managed to install my new pump without draining the system( just quickly took it off and put in new one) i now have hot radiators, a noisy pump and no hot water !!! I know hot water isn't being pumped to the loft tank so that means there is a load of air right? so i tried to loos...

Drainig heating system problem.....

Hi, I had previously posted regarding a dead boiler and thanks to some good advice from people on here i managed to trace the problem to a knackered pump, so i checked out ( in here again) how to drain the system. BUT unfortunately i have built my decking over the top of the outside drainer valve !!...

Quick update, can now get the boiler to fire but stops after around 20-30 secs, i can only assume from an earlier answer that the pump is indee knackered and needs replacing.

The boiler is a Baxi wm 381 RS, i found the plug fuse had blown so i tried a higher rated fuse , it also blew, i traced the wiring and found no shorting but when i tried the higher fuse the pump tried to move for a nano second then the fuse blew, do you recon its the pump and it may be a case of cha...
