Tumble Dryer - not heating

Hi, my tumble dryer has stopped heating. This followed an incident when one of my little darlings put a load of washing in there which had not been spun in the washer so I came in and found the tumble drum with about 5" of water in it. Great. What might need to be repaired or is it new machine?

Domestic drainaage

m Hi, Please see drawing attached. I need to move a washing m/c and I can not see the easiest way of providing drainage. I realise I can connect into stack but this is internal to the house. I need to get drain past the back door. Kitchen has concrete floor. Externally the path is block paving and t...

Thanks...

For various reasons it will be easier for me to get hold of these directly. What size of Fischer bolts? Are these ok for block walls? This is a very heavy Villeroy & Bosch basin. It tried emailing V&B for advise but their reply was useless. Everywhere I look on the web suggests using these f...

Big Heavy wallhung bathroom basin

Got one of these. 1000mm wide, designed to be wall hung and has a wallhung cupboard underneath. What is the best way to fix it to wall? The wall is external wall (phew...) normal brick/block cavity construction finished with plasterboard. Do I just use normal basin bolts or something stronger - if s...

Boarding over boards

Hi, Have removed tiles from bathroom and plasterboards now in pretty bad shape. Type in question is the honeycomb type of dry lining which now has a few holes in it! Would it be okay to put a new plasterboard over this and if so what is best way to attach it to the honeycomb board? Intention is to t...

10mm cable through loft insulation.

Route from shower unit to switch goes up, across loft and down again. Loft is insulated 100m with boards. Best/correct way to route cable? If it passes through insulation how much space is required within the insulation. If it is clipped at the top of joist sides is it ok to put wooden boards back i...

Thanks Sparx. That makes me feel better as I had already done the things you mentioned ie bought the RCD/MCB shower unit. Its still going to be a bit tricky connecting it to the fuse box but thats why leccy will do it! NEW question:- How close can a 15mm copper feed to shower, coming down fro...

I have a similar problem. Got two double wall lights and 2 ceiling fittings each with 5 bulbs so 14 bulbs on the circuit. Cheap bulbs last 3-4 weeks before they start failing. Expensive low-energy types last a few months - not years as claimed on the box. 5a Fuse has never blown.

Well I don't know about high/low pressure taps. However the problem is also occuring on the shower and the toilet cistern - all suffering from low pressure.

Can't stand the pressure

Hi, I have 2 bathrooms on the same, upstairs level. Hot and cold water pressure in first bathroom is good. However, in second bathroom, an ensuite, the pressure of both hot and cold is very low affecting the shower, the basin taps and the toilet cistern. I have traced the pipework as far as I can wi...
