Yes its definitely the problem. Disappointing after only 5 years. Now I need to decide whether to do a straight replacement or go for a combi boiler (or go on holiday).

If there's any possibility of mice, fit copper! We had some plastic pipes fitted and found leaks in various places under floorboards, due to 'rodentia'!

Hot water spurting from overflow

Got a problem with hot water gushing out of overflow. We have a Titan Flomaster pressurised cylinder (mains cold feed). It is an 'indirect' system. Had to turn off stop tap at cylinder's inlet from central heating to stop the overflow. The water in the expansion tank is hot and this seems to be wher...
