Thanks, Jondeau. The new unit doesn't have collet type fixtures either, so I think the idea is that the pipes should just pull off, but I suspect that they have become siezed on over the years. I've pulled away, but they won't budge. I think I'll have to disconnect the pipes further back at the firs...

I have an Aqualisa Aquastream (1997 - 2003 model) which I am trying to demount from the wall in order to replace it with the newer model. Thanks for responding Sparx. More information: The transformer is in the floor to ceiling (one metre wide and 0.6 metres deep) airing cupboard situated between the bath/shower and the WC. Replacing a power shower

I want to replace my existing power shower (installed in 1999) with the current version of the same model from the same manufacturer. No changes are required to the plumbing, but the manufacturer recommends that I replace the exisiting electrical transformer with the one that comes with the new show...
