sounds like you have 2 way swiching there, but you haven't found all the wires, are sure there isn't some more tucked up in the ceiling, or maybe a loop behinf the switches (unusual)?

using a RCBO is a good idea anyway for a freezer circuit because of the interference (i.e. your food thawing out!) if the RCD trips on one of your other circuits (which they do very easilly). Thats not what I meant by a c type breaker though. A B type breaker is the standard one used in a domestic s...

The wiring you've got there is for the 2 way switching. to be honest if your struggling with that (an I admit 2 way lighting can seem a bit like a dark science if your not familiar with it) you need to get an electrician to have a look at quote you for putting in the spots.

have a look in the appliance spec and see if you can see any info on the power useage of these, it may also be stamped on the appliance somwhere. then you (or someone here) cancalculate the load. that will give some indication as to your options. also the instructions will tell you what sort of supp...

you don't state the nature of the room you are going into, let us know as some types of room are notifiable even for extensions. have a look at screwfix online, they do some nice contoured trunking which will look nicer on the picture rails. Also there is a requirement in the building regs I believe...

if the 3 quotes are all about the same then thats probably on the money. it does seem fractionally high, I would charge about 4-450 in Dorset but it is probably reflective of the work involved in doing the bonding, which can be considerable. I'm afraid the bonding is an absolute as well. no sensible...

different LEDs have different angles of effectiveness. Yout best bet would be to take some measurements of the area you are wanting to cover and then have a chat to your lighting supplier. they have some fancy computer programs for working out reccomended coverage (or possibly just a pencil and a pi...

just an afterthought, these won't normally be neutrals by the way, they are your switched live going back to the light fitting. that is normally the case unless someone has done the loop behind the swich rather than at the pendent, which would be very unusual

The only way I can think of is with a fused connection unit with a neon but hat will involve some new wiring because you'll need neutrals, unless someone knows different.

what about a 'c type' breaker?
can the other sparks offer an opinion on this?
your earth needs to be good enough to support this, although the use of an RCD gives you a lot more latitude. Your electrician can advise.
