hi RB Why are you needing a sub board for a kitchen extension, unless you are considering future further expansion. A photo of your existing cu would be good. I commend you on gaining the qualification but why pay £400 quid to join a scheme plus the indemnity insurance and the cost of test equipment...

swa is 2.5 is fine

no need to rcd protect cable

600mm is regarded as deep enough, place some orange marker tape 200mm above cable.

What if the present cable was not adequate for the [u]existing[/u] shower? Is he just going to install the new shower and walk away? thinking"nice job it don't leak and it is all sealed nicely"

Is the circuit RCD protected?
